Established Under Egypt's Capital Market Framework
ADIF's history begins with regulation and long-term direct investment.
Established under FRA License No. 257 dated 24 February 1999, the fund represents a pioneering chapter in the development of Egypt's private equity and direct investment landscape.
A Regulated Foundation
ADIF was established by شركة صندوق الاستثمار العقاري العربي المباشر ش.م.م under License No. 257, issued by the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority on 24 February 1999. The fund was created under the provisions of Egypt's Capital Market Law No. 95 of 1992 and its executive regulations.
This regulatory foundation is central to ADIF's identity. The fund was not created as an informal investment arrangement — it was established as a regulated vehicle with a formal issuance structure, certificate-holder rights, investment objectives, management arrangements, and financial-year reporting framework.
Establishing the Platform
The first issuance was more than a capital raise — it created ADIF's institutional foundation: a regulated certificate-holder structure, a long-term direct investment mandate, and a platform for private equity participation in Egypt.
